The purpose of the memorial is to honor all veterans of all branches of the United States military who served abroad or at home. Their service to this country will forever be memorialized in the bricks that are engraved with names, rank, service branch or just a loving memory as a symbol of honor to them and their families.

The Gahanna Veterans Memorial project began in 1997. It grew from a dream of several local veterans. For a complete story on the life of the memorial please follow the “Memorial Facts” link.

Registration Will Be Available On-Site Saturday May 2nd 9:00AM-9:45AM

We will have people ready to sign you up on the day of the event. We will be open at 9:00AM for registration running through 9:45AM. The event officially starts at 10:00AM and will run through 12noon.

We would love to have your help Saturday May 2nd 9AM - Noon

2026 Walk In Our Boots Online Auction

Our American Legion Post is blessed to have artisans that have made a hand designed and crocheted patriotic blanket ("Warmth For The Homeless") and iconic Vietnam War Era paintings ("End Of Tour") that will be presented in our online auction. The proceeds will be used to support 100 Local Veterans recovering from homelessness here in Columbus.
